A Cheesecake Factory DoorDash Promotion Went Very, Very Wrong

Police were called to the scene of an Arlington, Virginia Cheesecake Factory.

The Cheesecake Factory started offering a promotion through DoorDash on Wednesday, and some ensuing chaos resulted in one arrest at an Arlington, Virginia restaurant, according to an Arlington Now report.

The dining chain is celebrating its 40th anniversary by giving away 40,000 free slices of cheesecake from December 5-11 across the country. Customers must order the cheesecake through DoorDash using a promo code, which resulted in an influx of DoorDash drivers in the area around the Arlington restaurant, plus additional crowd-related chaos inside of it, according to the article.

At one point, a man was asked by police to leave the restaurant and refused and was arrested, according to the article.

An Arlington County Police spokeswoman described the scene as “a little hectic,” according to the article.
