Adweek: Google Is Retiring DoubleClick and Rebranding Its Entire Digital Advertising Suite

The suite will allow marketers to work more fluidly across all of Google’s properties.

Google is launching a new suite of services for small businesses and media buyers. According to Adweek, Google is debuting the Google Marketing Cloud and Google Ad Manager in order to make their advertising tools easier to navigate and understand.

“As you can imagine, if you want to go talk to an advertiser about buying ads to run on YouTube, you go in there and say, ‘Hey go into the AdWords interface,’ and they go ‘What?’” said Sridhar Ramaswamy, Google’s svp of ads, at a press event in New York on Tuesday. “There is truly some confusion with respect to that.”

The update is a nod to the change in user behavior and will allow markets to purchase ads across all of Google's platforms including YouTube, Google Maps and Google Play.
