ATLANTA,GA - The Arby’s Foundation began the next phase of its summer-long partnership with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign on Monday with the launch of an in-store fundraiser.
According to a press release, customers who donate $1 through September 30 will receive a pin-up pledge to sign and hang on the walls of restaurants. Donators will also receive a coupon for one free Value Menu item with the purchase of a sandwich.
“We have a huge problem right here in our own backyards that tends to go unnoticed,” Arby’s Restaurant Group President Hala Moddelmog said in the release. “Childhood hunger is a silent epidemic with more than 16 million children struggling to find meals. We feel it’s imperative that we step up to get involved and help drive a change.”
This is the second year The Arby’s Foundation, the non-profit arm of Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc., has partnered with Share Our Strength’s No Kids Hungry Campaign. The foundation hope’s to break the $2.2 million it raised in 2011 by setting a goal for $2.5 million.
