Geoff Miller has always had a leader’s spirit and a strong love for his community. That’s what made him the perfect fit for BeBalanced Hormone Weight Loss Centers, a growing franchise chain of wellness centers that addresses weight gain through natural hormone rebalancing. Now, he’s preparing to open 18 new centers with the brand across Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and Houston, with the first two centers opening by March 30 in 2022.

Before joining BeBalanced, Miller worked in retail for 15 years, working with both Walmart and Michaels Stores. Then, his father-in-law James Webb, a partner with BeBalanced and a former Orangetheory fitness franchisee, approached him about going into business together. They now own multiple centers in Texas.

“We didn’t want to do your basic restaurant franchise or automotive franchise, which are very popular,” said Miller. “We wanted to do something more connected to the community. We heard about BeBalanced through the grapevine, and my wife and I tried the program. My wife lost 20 pounds and slept better. We wanted to thoroughly test it out. Now, we’ve had a 92% success rate.”

For Miller, BeBalanced’s ability to create a sense of community was a huge factor in his decision to sign on with the brand. Everyone who goes through the program — including Miller, his wife and his staff members — feel connected through their experiences.

“Everyone who has gone through the program has had the same feeling of, ‘I’m alone in this. How will I ever climb this mountain?’ They’ve all gone to the gym and worked really hard, and it didn’t work for them. They’ve all gone to the doctor explaining that things aren’t working and still haven’t gotten good answers. But all the ones who come through the program come together because they share those feelings — as well as the feeling of success from having overcome that mountain and finding out there are other people who have done it too.”

Miller will be opening his Plano, Texas location during the COVID-19 pandemic. He noted that the pandemic brought his Plano center closer to its community. “We provided a sanctuary,” he said. “Our clients shared recipes, best stress management techniques and joined together digitally to feel connected.”

For David Cutillo, CEO of the brand, that emphasis on serving the local community is a crucial quality in a BeBalanced franchisee.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have ambassadors like Miller and Webb in Texas who are dedicated to growing BeBalanced,” said Cutillo. “They recognize the importance of serving one’s community and building relationships, which is something our brand values.”

Looking to the future, Miller hopes to build as many centers as he can — as fast as he can.

“I’ve seen population booms like crazy in Plano, a higher influx than I’ve seen in my entire life,” said Miller. “We have a winning strategy with a viable plan behind it. So we’re going to be building as fast as we can.”

The total investment necessary to begin operation of a BeBalanced Hormone Weight Loss Centers franchised business is $155,650 to $208,450, including a $45,000 franchise fee. To learn more about franchising with BeBalanced, visit https://bebalancedcenters.com/franchise/.
