The Citrus County Chronicle: Beef 'O' Brady's Franchisee Makes Restaurant Community Staple

Dan Heavrin says he's always looking for ways to give back to his local neighborhood and customers.

Beef 'O' Brady's franchisee Dan Heavrin has been working in the restaurant industry since he was a teen and understands how important it is for business owners to get involved in their community. At his Beef 'O' Brady's in Crystal River, Florida, he regularly hosts spirit nights, pancake breakfasts, banquets and other events for schools and organizations in town. Epstein says that Dan is incredibly generous and is always searching for more ways to support people through his restaurant.

“He goes above and beyond and helps the community out,” Dan Epstein, track and field and cross-country coach at Crystal River Middle School, told the Citrus County Chronicle. “My philosophy is to get business back to him.”

Dan believes that owning a successful small business is a two-way street.

“As business owners, if we set the example and show that it doesn’t all have to be about a profit, if you do things right, the profit’s going to come,” Dan told the Citrus County Chronicle. “We are more successful helping people in the community. If we didn’t do that, we would not be profitable at all.”
