In a bid to win back audiences from the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy craze, Blackberry rolled out its newest phone, the Blackberry Z10. The smartphone touts a web browser claimed to be faster than its competitors. Website and application loading speed blends well with the new “Flow” interface, which allows for a left-to-right and up-and-down swiping instead of using a home button. The purpose of this is to provide seamless use to help you complete tasks faster and in a more organized fashion. In an interview with Fox Business, Thorsten Heins claims Blackberry’s new “10 line,” including the Z10 and Q10, is only targeted to “hyper-connected people who are always on the go.” In addition to being the anti-iPhone, the Z10 has a removable battery and an SD card slot to add 16GB of included storage. The phone also boasts a micro HDMI slot for connecting to a monitor so no adapters are required to stream video. While these new improvements are beneficial for users, the Z10 does lack in certain areas. App availability has not yet been confirmed, including popular staples such as Instagram, Netflix, or Paper by Fifty Three. The phone overall is a step toward seamless communication in an age where everyone seems to want to move even faster. With iPhone loyalists still crowding the market, unfortunately there’s no app for predicting the success of the Z10. Only old-fashioned time will tell.
