Buffalo Wings & Rings Franchise Wins Best Wings in Chicago
The chicken wing chain was recognized as best overall at Chicago Wingfest.
Much like Daniel-san in “The Karate Kid,” Buffalo Wings & Rings has proven it’s the best around (nothing’s ever gonna keep it down!) by taking the title of “Best of Fest” at the 2015 Chicago Wingfest.
Competition was cutthroat at this year’s event, its 16th annual iteration. Approximately 2,000 chicken wing fans gathered to taste upwards of 50,000 offerings from the city’s best.
However, Buffalo Wings & Rings came out on top against 17 other competitors, placing 1st in the BBQ category in addition to winning Best of Fest.
Besides being able to boast about having Chicago’s best wings, the restaurant chain did its part to raise funds for local and national charities at the event, a perennial favorite for wing-lovers in the Windy City.
In fact, WingFest has raised more than $150,000 for various charities so far, according to the event’s official website. This year’s lucky recipient was Chicago Neighbors United, which provides educational scholarships to high school seniors.
Congrats to Buffalo Wings & Rings, Chicago Neighbors United and all wing aficionados in the Second City and beyond! Mr. Miyagi would be proud.
