California Wildfires Devastate Restaurants Across Northern California

260 commercial buildings were completely destroyed in a four-day blaze that burned 113,000 acres.

On Monday, wildfires across Northern California continued to decimate property across communities, including locations of many restaurants. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, 260 commercial buildings were destroyed, in addition to 6,453 homes. The flames burned through 113,000 acres.

Franchise locations for KFC, Burger King, Jack in the Box and McDonald’s in Paradise were completely destroyed in the blaze. The California Restaurant Association has expressed a dedication to helping workers who lost their jobs. The association is accepting donations to help cover basic living expenses for those impacted. It will also be working with restaurants in areas that were not impacted in order to boost fundraising efforts.
