Chipotle Has Found Its New Head of Food Safety

Kerry Bridges will replace James Marsden.

Chipotle Mexican Grill has hired Kerry Bridges as its vice president of food safety, according to a Fast Casual report.

Bridges’ previous experience includes being the senior director of supplier food safety for Walmart, and she will replace Chipotle’s current head of food safety, James Marsden, when he retires later this year, according to the article. Chipotle announced Marsden’s upcoming retirement in October 2018.

The brand has been working hard to combat food poisoning-related issues in its restaurants. Its more recent preventative measures have included implementing the food safety technology platform Zenput and a system-wide food safety retraining.
