CNBC: Chuck E. Cheese’s Is Getting a Major Redesign, and It’s Nothing Like You’d Imagine It To Be

Chuck E. Cheese's locations will soon get a whole new experience with a redesign to start to appeal to the adult crowd.

Chuck E. Cheese’s has decided to redesign its experience after nearly two decades in business. According to a recent CNBC article, the redesign will bring in more muted colors and sleeker furniture to appeal to adults more and stray away from the blinking lights and ringing bells of the past. To start, seven locations will receive the redesign in San Antonio and Kansas City.

"In the last few years, we've invested a lot in our food, in our cleanliness, we've updated games, you name it we've touched it and changed it," CEO Tom Leverton told CNBC.

The interior is not the only aspect of the redesign. The exteriors will get an update from the purple-and-red awnings to a light green entrance and wooden paneling on the side of the building. Other updates include an open kitchen layout and centralized dance floor with live appearances.
