ecomaids and Parent Company Happinest Report Milestone Achievements in 2021, Planning For an Even Bigger 2022

The eco-friendly home cleaning brand is a fast-growing franchise that utilizes its parent company’s centralized system to streamline their sales process, allowing them to sign 40 units last year.

ecomaids, the environmentally-safe home and business cleaning brand, awarded 40 new locations in 2021, and opened the majority of those units before the end of December. 

Overall, Happinest, which owns the ecomaids brand as well as Lawn Doctor and Mosquito Hunters, marked a significant milestone in signing over 100 units in 2021. 

“We expect to do that and more next year,” said Eric Martin, vice president of franchise development for Happinest. “We’ve set goals and, in looking at each of the brands, believe that we will at least meet or exceed those same marks. It was a very challenging year for everyone, but we were able to find success and are ready to carry that over in 2022.”

When ecomaids joined the Happinest umbrella in the summer of 2019, there were two locations of the eco-friendly cleaning franchise. Today there are over 95 units of ecomaids around the country, and the brand will officially hit 100 units in early 2022. Thanks to Happinest, ecomaids has been able to stay ahead of the curve in home cleaning services demand with effective marketing and customer acquisition. 

“Everything under the Happinest umbrella is centralized, so that’s a big deal for our business owners who know that we have their backs and will follow through on leads, allowing them to focus on customers and maintaining relationships and continuity,” said Martin.

How ecomaids Excelled in 2021

ecomaids has been identified as the fastest growing cleaning concept in franchising, and is regularly recognized for its growth nationwide in magazines and other publications. Sharon Cupach, Sr. Director of Franchise Development for ecomaids, said that the brand’s milestone of hitting 100 units in 2022 will mean they were able to accomplish a difficult feat in just under two years of franchising.

“Awarding that many units in less than two years doesn’t happen often,” said Cupach. “We’re proud of that and we have some great franchisees in our system who are all dedicated to growing the brand in their local markets with integrity.”

The growth at ecomaids can be attributed to the integrity-based, high-level franchisees who are joining the brand. “It has been really impressive and wonderful to experience the growth of the brand with these caliber candidates,” said Cupach. 

ecomaids is also proud of the business coaching support that was brought on to help franchisees navigate being a business owner and the sometimes tumultuous first year of business.

“Our coaches have provided franchisees with structure and encouragement along the way,” said Cupach. “They’ve been able to hold new franchisees accountable for the goals they want to achieve and I think that has really helped our system in a dramatic way.”

COVID has made many people hyper aware of germs, but after staying home for so long, many are looking for alternate ways to check off daily cleaning chores.
