ecomaids, the emerging, environmentally friendly cleaning franchise, has seen rapid expansion with a growing team of franchisees. The brand’s growth is due largely to its franchise advisory team, led by Lee Ann Werner and Christine Ament.

“I've been in multi-unit management for about 20 years or so,” Werner said. “I'm really attracted to franchising because of what it takes to be an entrepreneur — the different tastes, taking risks, and how franchisees come to the table with all sorts of diverse backgrounds.”

Ament is experienced in business operations and has guided different business models to success. “It’s very important to listen. Each franchisee has different goals and overall objectives, and our job is to break things down into realistic pieces that can be achieved,” she said.

As ecomaids advisors, both Ament and Werner fulfill two primary duties. They handle onboarding tasks, ensuring all new franchisees are equipped to handle systems, training and software while also serving as a consultant for integral decision making for franchisees.

“Our goal is to make sure each franchise is familiar and comfortable with the tools available to them, and to serve as an ambassador to help a franchisee have an ideal perspective,” Werner said.

Both advisors are able to support both the franchisor and franchisee, working to ensure the collective needs of the brand are satisfied on all accounts. “It's such an important role in any franchise system, you are truly the middle ground. And it’s fulfilling for us because we’re always advocating for the good of our brand,” Werner said.

ecomaids’ team of franchise business advisors is available for recurring meetings with each franchisee and provides insights that draw on a comprehensive understanding of the industry and business model.

“It’s essential to have someone to bounce ideas off of, or to truly offer up suggestions that can help people grow. Being a consultant is a benefit because we can lay out two or three different options that a franchisee might not have even considered,” Werner said. “A lot of people have benefitted from a broader perspective, or even learning about another practice from a different franchise.”

In meeting with so many franchisees, the advisory team is able to develop invaluable brand insights that help the entire brand move forward. “I learn something new about our brand every day, and it is my duty to make sure each franchisee can learn something new to be successful every time we meet,” Werner said. “That’s how I view my job on a daily basis — how I can meet each owner on their level and be valuable.”

Both Werner and Ament said the diverse needs of each franchisee can vary, but that it’s exciting to work together to introduce a new solution. “That's what makes my job fun. Every owner is different and brings a unique perspective, and it’s a lot of fun to watch how one system can succeed just because of the personality of and experience of the owners,” Werner said.

In working alongside so many franchisees, the advisors have developed a fine-tuned approach that acknowledges the possibilities as well as the risks of franchising. Ament and Werner spoke on how it’s a gift to work as part of a team, and a main focus of their duties is to keep people motivated to do their best.

With the help of a franchise advisory team, ecomaids is able to highlight ownership wins and lead franchisees in a proven direction of success. Ament and Werner support both new and prospective franchisees and inspire them to set the bar high.
