How ecomaids Has Allowed This Franchisee from Mexico to Live the American Dream

Javier Menendez Pandal moved with his family to the United States last year and has already celebrated a year of owning his own business.

In 2021, Javier Menendez Pandal and his wife decided to relocate from their native Mexico to the Texas town of San Antonio. The former manager with Audi de Mexico was looking into opportunities to work in the U.S. and decided getting into franchising and applying for an E-2 Investor Visa would be the best route. He began researching businesses and found the cleaning industry was a great fit. 

“We saw an opportunity in the cleaning and janitorial space, with a lot of business growth. We were looking for two or three options and ultimately chose ecomaids after the Discovery Day,” said Menendez Pandal. “I think they're a great option for how I look at business and what I want to do. It’s been a great decision to invest.”

Menendez Pandal purchased his territory of ecomaids, a 100-plus unit home cleaning franchise, in December of 2020 and began operations in July of last year. In December last year, he purchased another local territory in the northern San Antonio area. His official business title now is ecomaids of ShavanoPark-Hollywood Park-Timberwood Park. 

The brand was very helpful with the process of helping him with the E-2 Investor Visa, he said, and everyone at the corporate offered great support to him during training and opening. 

“For me, the most important thing is that they are very supportive. They always give us a lot of support from all their experience in this business. They are very professional,” he said.

Menendez Pandal is very happy with how this venture has gone so far and is proud to be a business owner with ecomaids. He also commends their marketing support for helping get him up and running and receiving brand recognition. 

“We get a lot of leads through the marketing ground game, locally and digitally. My customer base has been steadily growing — that's why I bought the second territory. I see the opportunity of the business here, and it's really worth it,” Menendez Pandal added.

His goals for the near future include doubling his customer base in the next six months and building up his staff with quality people, which has been a challenge in the complex employment environment. He is looking for workers who have “positive attitudes and have core values of  teamwork and communication.”

“Right now, I think there is a lot of potential in my territories. I think this second year will be great,” said Menendez Pandal.
