The beach will not be the only hot spot in South Florida much longer; Famous Toastery is making its way to the Sunshine State.

Robert Maynard, CEO of the Famous Toastery, thinks South Florida is hungry enough to add 25 locations of his high-end breakfast and brunch brand.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based franchise will be scouting locations throughout southern Florida later this month. Maynard mentioned the eatery is considering cities from Palm Beach County to Miami-Dade County, including Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Plantation, downtown Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Hallandale Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isles Beach, and Miami's downtown and Coconut Grove neighborhoods.

The brand currently has six locations, with 25 additional restaurants in the works along the East Coast. Among those is the first Florida location in Jacksonville Beach, slated for completion in the next 60 days.

Famous Toastery is looking for franchisees to lead its expansion into Florida. "We like solid people who have a passion to serve," Maynard said of the company's selection process. "A lot of restaurateurs like that it's the type of business that you can be home by 3 p.m."

Franchisees can expect to invest between $490,000 to $775,000 to open a Famous Toastery of their own. That includes a $35,000 franchise fee and 5 percent in royalties.
