Fast Casual: Concern over GMOs increasing, NPD study says
More consumers wary of genetically-modified organisms
Data from The NPD Group shows more than half of American consumers express some level of concern regarding GMOs, according to Fast Casual. At the same time, many Americans still aren’t able to clearly explain what GMOs are.
Meanwhile, 44 percent of consumers felt GMOs were at least partially beneficial.
The NPD Group attributed increasing concern with correlating levels of media coverage.
