Fast Casual: Halloween scaring up food freebies across the nation

Other brands will be offering special menu items for the holiday.

Many brands are taking advantage of Halloween as an opportunity to engage consumers by offering freebies and discounts. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, brands including Chipotle, Cici's Pizza and Krispy Kreme will be offering free items to customers dressed in costume.

The Chipotle deal offers a $3 burrito to fans that show up to the restaurant in costume. Known as Boorito, the deal will run from 3p.m. until closing time.

"Boorito is a Chipotle tradition. Our customers love it, and our restaurant teams have a great time, too. Whether your costume is elaborate, or you just grab some aluminum foil and arrive as a burrito, it's a great way to add some delicious food to your Halloween celebration," said Mark Crumpacker of Chipotle.

Other brands will be offering special menu items for the holiday. Chuck E. Cheese is offering a Candy Corn Pizza, where the colors of the cheese mimic the tones of the popular candy. The brand will be giving away slices of this pizza for free each hour from 4p.m. to 8p.m.
