Fast Casual: Mod Pizza reports 81% increase in system-wide sales

The brand grew by over 100 locations throughout 2017, including locations it had not previously occupied.

2017 was a big year for Mod Pizza. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the brand experienced a 5.2 percent increase in same-store sales at the end of the year. Additionally, the net revenue of the franchise increased by nearly 70 percent, with system-wide sales up by over 80 percent.

Throughout the year, the brand opened over 100 new locations including setting up shop in states they had not previously entered. With this expansion, Mod Pizza has now built up a presence in 27 states across the nation. With new locations also came new leadership, as the brand brought on a new COO, CMO, President of Culinary and VP of Technology.

"We accomplished this during a difficult period for the broader restaurant industry, and we believe our remarkable growth was enabled, in significant part, by our continued commitment to make a positive social impact. In 2017 alone, MOD contributed over $1 million to support our local communities and Squad members in need," said CEO Scott Svenson.
