Fast Casual: NRA puts Coca-Cola leader in development, industry relations post

The organization has hired industry veteran, Roy Jackson, to lead strategic development.

Roy Jackson is no stranger to the food industry, having spent years gathering experience at Coca-Cola. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the retired executive will be bringing this expertise to a new role at the National Restaurant Association. He will serve as executive vice president of development and industry relations.

"Roy brings to our team such diverse and insightful experiences and engagement with the foodservice industry, we know he will add further momentum to the transformative changes we've already begun to deliver," said COO Terry Erdle.

Jackson's responsibilities will range from membership growth to leading alliances within the industry. He will also handle strategic development for the organization.

The NRA works with a vast pool of restaurants–both franchise and non-franchise. According to the company's website, they strive to " empower all restaurant owners and operators to achieve more than they thought possible."
