Fast Casual: Überrito Signs Master Franchise Agreement for Texas

Franchise industry veterans Mehboob, Ally and Aniq Lakhpaty will open up to 100 locations for the Mexican fast casual concept across Texas.

Uberitto could bring up to 100 locations to Texas as a result of its latest franchise agreement. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the agreement between the brand and the Lakhpaty family will target Houston, Austin, and San Antonio for expansion. The Lakhpaty's are no strangers to franchising, bringing over 30 years of experience to the table.

"Having been in this industry for many years, our family is fortunate to have developed a sense for the type of franchises that are built to last. Uberrito is establishing itself as the premier franchise concept in the fast casual Mexican food segment, and we are honored to have our family joining in their growth plans," said Ally Lakhpaty.

In the past, the Lakhpaty family members have served as franchisees for Subway and Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream. They are responsible for opening over 200 locations for the former and 17 locations for the latter within the state of Texas. The franchisees possess a diverse skill set ranging from chef experience to work in accounting.

"When you consider what is required to be a successful Master Franchisee — we look for partners with experience in real estate, construction, restaurant operations, and onboarding franchisees —this family has it all. We are excited about our future together in this important market," said Uberitto CDO, Peter Ortiz.
