Fast Casual: UK-Based Leon Launches in U.S.

The fast casual franchise will open its first U.S. location in Washington, D.C. this summer

UK-based fast casual franchise Leon is coming to the United States.

According to Fast Casual, the franchise’s first U.S. location will open in Washington, D.C. later this summer. The D.C. location will be the brand’s 53rd unit globally. All of Leon’s existing locations are in the U.K., Norway and the Netherlands.

“D.C. is a wonderful city and I can't wait to begin our American adventure here," CEO John Vincent said in a press release. "We chose D.C. as our entry point into the U.S. market because of its culturally creative mindset, pedestrian-friendly landscape and foodie-lifestyle. Choosing the first American city is like trying to choose from your favorite box of chocolates. After D.C., we are looking forward to opening in other cities that have a similar culture of dynamism, positivity and possibility.”
