Randi Bloodworth, a 27-year-old employee of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK*® received a big surprise when she arrived to work on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

After winning a national scholarship competition called Moving People Forward.Company, company founder Mary Ellen Sheets traveled to Tampa Bay, Florida to surprise Bloodworth with an over-sized check worth $50,000 and the opportunity to become co-owner of her very own TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location in Pearland, Texas. Her new office is scheduled to open in March 2016, and she will partner  with her current employers and mentors Jeff and Ryan Knowles.

Sheets started the company with her sons 30 years ago and it is now an International company with more than 340 locations. The brand focuses on promoting from within their system, inspiring Sheets to create the scholarship program. Even 35-year-old TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® President Randy Shacka began as an intern for the company.

Recognizing her management skills, the Knowles family knew that Randi was the perfect candidate for the program. They've mentored her as she competed against other talented managers within the system over the past year to win the big prize. After taking an hourly part-time job three years ago, Bloodworth says she's truly living the American Dream.

“I really thought it would be just a part time, temporary job," she told The Tampa Tribune. "This is pretty cool. I’m a franchisee."
