Footprints Floors franchisee Adnan Alhaider recently discussed his career and the steps he took to become a franchise owner with Business RadioX.

“I was a business manager at an engineering firm in downtown Detroit for eight years,” said Alhaider. “I also had experience in starting my own business, as I owned an import and export company for three years.”

Alhaider wasn’t always in the construction industry — he was actually thinking of becoming a restaurant owner. While searching through franchise brands, he stumbled upon Footprints Floors. As he researched and started to understand the brand’s business model, it started to look like a potential fit.

Footprints Floors is a full flooring service company with a unique business model, focusing more on installing than supplying products. Most of their competitors are buying a product, marking it up and then selling it for a profit, so the customer ends up paying a little more than if they bought it directly.

“We actually care, and we respect our client's homes. When you're doing service in people's homes, it's important to remember this is someone's sacred place,” said Alhaider.
