Footprints Floors, the 160+ unit flooring installation brand, has quickly proven to be quite a force in the service segment and continues to have record-breaking years. As the company looks to its tenth year of franchising in 2023, Bryan Park, founder and CEO, looked back on the achievements of this year, from revenue and development to partnerships within the community and with different organizations.

“This was really a year of national growth for us,” said Park. “We have experienced a lot of maturation as a business and focused on new relationships and connections. Our volume is really starting to open doors for us, which has been exciting to see.”

Over the course of 2022, Footprints Floors opened 18 franchise units. Located all over the country, these franchisees have launched the brand into new markets, including Jacksonville, Florida; Boise, Idaho; Long Island, New York; Reno, Nevada; St. Louis, Missouri; Providence, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusetts.

The brand saw revenue increase by a staggering 90% systemwide. This jump in profits was also seen at the individual level as well, with 10 franchise owners joining the company’s “Million Dollar Club” by reaching seven figures in sales in 2022.

Several key players within the franchise network were acknowledged this year for their expertise and extraordinary efforts. Park was appointed to the board of directors of the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA), which he said: “gives Footprints Floors more access into the industry as a whole.” The NWFA also recognized two of the brand's franchise owners — Josh Byrd of Nashville and Rob Ricco in North Carolina — in its 40 Under 40 list.

The company celebrated the launch of the First Fruits Fund, the philanthropic arm of the business. Footprints Floors partners with faith-based organizations to donate and volunteer help for family services, poverty reduction, homelessness prevention, drug rehabilitation and other important societal issues.

“I see my business as a way to live up to my values of supporting my neighbors and lending a hand to those in need,” Park said. “A business should be about more than just making money for its stakeholders; it should play a positive role in its community.”

This year, the concept appeared on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500, climbing 204 spots from its ranking in 2021, as well as on Franchise Times’ Top 500 and Franchise Dictionary’s Top 100 Game ChangersFranchise Business Review labeled Footprints Floors as a “top home improvement franchise,” Franchise Chatter ranked the brand at No. 3 on its list of Best Flooring Franchises of 2022.

Footprints Floors added several members to its corporate team, to further support the brand’s goals. Jeremy Wasinger was hired as director of communications in June, serving on the executive team, while longtime franchisees Joel and Kate Gudeman joined the corporate staff as franchise support managers, with the role of mentoring the system’s owners.

In addition, Footprints Floors partnered with Synchrony financial supplier to offer payment options for customers and launched a national relationship with CompanyCam, a platform for digital record-keeping at job sites that has been integrated into the brand’s overall systems. The brand has also been pushing consumer advertising strategies to aid business owners with their marketing.

“Going into 2023, we aim to continue this pattern of growth and to lean into more strategic partnerships,” Park said. “There’s been a great deal that’s happened for our relatively young franchise, and we’ve done exceptionally well. I’m excited to see what the future holds for the brand.”

The startup costs for a Footprints Floors franchise range from $78,505 to $113,030, including a franchise fee of $69,480 for a single territory. To learn more about franchising with Footprints Floors, visit https://footprintsfranchise.com/.

ABOUT FOOTPRINTS FLOORS:

Upon his return to Littleton, Colorado, after serving in the U.S. Air Force, Bryan Park noticed that Denver’s flooring industry lacked a higher level of customer service and sophistication. So, in 2008, he founded Footprints Floors, which today specializes in installing hardwood floors, carpet, tile floors, backsplashes and laminates. With more than 50 current locations, Footprints Floors offers franchisees a robust support system, including a call center, flexible hours for work-life balance and a low cost of entry with outstanding economics
