Forbes: Five Food Trends to Look for When You’re Watching the 2017 Super Bowl’s TV Ads
From live commercials to an emphasis on nutrition, here’s what you can expect from the Super Bowl’s commercial breaks.
The Super Bowl is known for more than football—the annual event also provides viewers with the best television commercials of the year. And during this year’s showdown between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots, there are five food trends that are expected to be highlighted every commercial break.
The first, according to Forbes, is that the first live advertisement will take place. Snickers has announced that they’re producing a live commercial during the first break of the game’s third quarter. If it’s a success, it’s possible that this could become a common occurrence. Another food trend that’s expected to be highlighted during the Super Bowl is nutrition. Brands like Pepsi, Avocados from Mexico and Bai Brands will be using their ad spots to educate viewers about their lower calorie solutions.
There will also be a few major food brands missing from Super Bowl ads this year. Butterfinger, Taco Bell and Doritos have all decided to skip out on advertisements in 2017.
