Amazon is going to launch a new delivery service that has the potential to compete with direct shipping giants UPS and FedEx. <a href="http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2018/02/09/amazon-to-challenge-ups-fedex-with-new-delivery-service.html?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=fox-business-amazon-to-challenge-ups-fedex-with-new-delivery-service-2705523" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">According to Fox Business</a>, the retail company is going to be testing delivery with third party sellers in Los Angeles, with plans to expand to new cities in the near future.

Given that Amazon shipped more than 5 billion items worldwide through its Prime program in 2017, this new delivery service could potentially change the delivery game. It also has the potential to change the way that companies&mdash;beyond UPS and FedEx&mdash;operate. That&rsquo;s because Amazon is planning to open the service to other businesses beyond third party sellers down the line. For franchise brands, this means that there could soon be a new way to get products in front of customers in a timely and efficient manner.
