Franchise Business Review Spotlights Top 50 Multi-Unit Franchise Opportunities
Brick and mortar, service franchises both get their due.
This may sound like the beginning of a bad joke, but stick with me here: What do Sotheby’s, Checkers* & Rally’s, Sport Clips* and Toppers Pizza* all have in common?
According to Franchise Business Review, they all represent excellent brick and mortar multi-unit opportunities for entrepreneurs.
However, brick and mortar businesses only represented half of FBR’s Top 50 Multi-Unit Franchises Special Report. The other half of the list was saved for the best service multi-unit franchises.
Weed Man, Two Men and a Truck, Mosquito Joe* and Right at Home* all popped up on this list as ripe opportunities for business owners.
The FBR Special Report also highlighted some interesting facts about multi-unit franchisees themselves - the white whales to franchising’s Captain Ahab.
For instance, 80 percent are college graduates and nearly a quarter can boast an advanced degree, such as a masters or doctorate.
Most pleasing of all to franchisor ears, however, may be the fact that just under 40 percent of multi-unit franchisees own 5 or more units. And building up this portfolio doesn’t have to be a life’s work, as data showed almost 20 percent of multi-unit franchisees have less than two years’ experience in the industry.
