Frenchies Modern Nail Care, a nail care franchise that offers an elevated, spa-level experience, delights all five senses and prioritizes a mantra of “We Love Clean.” Frenchies also offers customers a cleaner, greener approach to nail care. Family-owned by franchise experts, the brand provides moderate pricing to reasonably fit within your budget.

How Many Frenchies Modern Nail Cares Are There?

When the husband-and-wife team of Guy and Stephanie Coffey founded the first Frenchies location in Littleton, Colorado in 2014, their mission was to revolutionize the nail care industry for guests, nail specialists and franchise owners. Today, Frenchies has grown to include 24 locations across the country and is aiming to sell an additional 10 units by the end of 2023.

By leveraging their ownership experience as multi-unit owners of Anytime Fitness, as well as Stephanie Coffey’s expertise gained as president of Waxing the City, the couple created a winning franchise opportunity within the highly fragmented nail care industry. The brand is led by a team of franchising experts with 78 years of collective experience.

Looking ahead, the Coffeys have big plans for the brand and say they won’t slow down until Frenchies achieves its goal of revolutionizing the entire nail salon experience.

What Is The Frenchies Modern Nail Care Business Model?

The Frenchies business model is centered around providing guests with a spa-like experience above and beyond what they’ve come to expect from typical nail salons. To start, Frenchies doesn’t look, smell or feel like a typical nail salon. The studios are light, open and airy, completely devoid of the toxic chemical smell that has become synonymous with nail salons. The brand prides itself on being “ridiculously clean.”

Frenchies’ clean, and green, practices include:

  • A three-step cleaning process for all stainless steel tools. Tools are scrubbed with soap and hot water, soaked in medical-grade disinfectant per each state’s regulations, and are treated with a medical-grade autoclave for chemical-free sterilization.
  • Files, buffers and orangewood sticks are used only once. Customers can either keep them, or the team will toss them.
  • Use of freestanding basins for foot soaks—with no jets or pipes to trap harmful bacteria. Frenchies sanitizes them with a medical-grade disinfectant per each state’s regulations between guests. They also use cleaners that exceed industry disinfectant standards, yet eliminate harsh chemicals that aren’t good for people or the water supply. And because the brand doesn’t use plastic liners to provide sanitary foot care, it is not sending tons of those to landfills.
  • Carefully selecting products that are free of the worst toxic chemicals yet give customers beautiful nails. Notably, the brand does not perform acrylic nail services.
  • Always looking for ways to reduce or recycle the waste generated in the studio.

The franchise also avoids dangerous tools or products that may be found in other nail salons, such as:

  • ???Credo knives (foot razors)
  • Cheese graters
  • Acid-based products like callus removers or acid primers
  • Porous tools
  • Products that create unpleasant smells, like acrylic nails
