My Salon Suite is a franchise that provides comfortable spaces for stylists to work with fully equipped, upscale salon suites, featuring a full-length style station, styling chair, shampoo sink and color station. The My Salon Suite brand was first founded in 2010 by the McAllister family when they opened their first location in Metairie, Louisiana. Over the next two years, the brand would expand into Florida where it opened its third franchise location in Sarasota.

My Salon Suite partnered with fellow salon brand Salon Plaza in 2015 to help expand its operations across North America, where it has become one of the top salon suite franchise businesses. In 2021, My Salon Suite joined Propelled Brands, which is the franchise network that operates brands such as FASTSIGNS and NerdsToGo.

How Many My Salon Suite Locations Are There?

As of July 2023, My Salon Suite has more than 250 locations open and under development. The brand is actively offering franchise opportunities in most states across the country, except Wyoming, Alaska and Hawaii.

What Is My Salon Suite’s Business Model?

My Salon Suite’s business model is focused on providing stylists and salon entrepreneurs with “best-in-class accommodations,” where they can set up their own workspace based on their own style. Unlike traditional salons, where a stylist is typically an employee or an independent contractor who works for the salon owner, My Salon Suite allows stylists to rent a private space within a salon complex where they can conduct their work. My Salon Suites are typically self-contained and fully equipped. Instead of paying a commission to use the space, stylists pay rent to the salon suite franchise owner.

This means the stylists who use My Salon Suite spaces can be independent business owners who are allowed to set their own prices, services and schedule, ultimately giving them more control over their business and branding.

As a result of the brand’s ownership-based business model, My Salon Suites says it has seen a “burst in popularity over traditional salons.”
