Radiant Waxing is a full-service, speed-waxing salon with a mission to deliver a premium guest experience. Formally known as LunchboxWax, the franchise is managed by WellBiz Brands, Inc.

How Many Radiant Waxing Locations Are There?

Radiant Waxing was founded in 2010 by Debi Lane as LunchboxWax. Lane previously spent years owning and operating her own multi-service day spa in Sun Valley, Idaho. In 2010, after noticing a gap in the industry, Lane opened Idaho's first wax-only salon in Boise, which was quickly followed by two more. As business continued to boom, LunchboxWax began awarding franchises in 2013. Today, there are around 70 locations.

In 2021, the brand was acquired by WellBiz Brands, which owns other concepts such as Drybar, Amazing Lash Studio, Elements Massage and Fitness Together.

In 2022, WellBiz Brands unveiled Radiant Waxing as the brand’s new name. The rebrand was the result of extensive consumer research, which showed that 40% more consumers would be attracted to new, more premium branding.

“Radiant Waxing will continue to represent the unparalleled guest experience and with a strong, inclusive culture that attracted guests to LunchboxWax,” said WellBiz Brands CEO Jeremy Morgan in a press release. “There is so much untapped potential in the waxing category. I’m excited to unleash the power of this brand and grow Radiant Waxing to 500 salons over the next five years.”

What Is Radiant Waxing’s Business Model?

Radiant Waxing’s business model stands out in four key areas:

  • Proprietary Waxing Technique: A proven three-step, speed-waxing process using all-natural TRUWAX soft wax combines refined, effective waxing techniques with premium-quality products.
  • Boutique Experience: Salons have the environment of an upscale boutique.
  • Sole Focus On Waxing: Each salon is entirely dedicated to waxing, which lets waxologists be the master of their craft.
  • “Friends with Benefits” programsSalons offer a variety of membership and series programs for customers to choose from.

Other key elements include:

  • Ease of Training: Estheticians and cosmetologists know how to wax when they graduate. The Radiant Waxing Support Center helps teach them the Radiant Waxing way.
  • Speed of Service: High guest throughput is possible with most services taking 20 minutes or less.
  • Salon Footprint: Salons are chic and modern with a small footprint.

As part of the WellBiz Brands, Inc. portfolio, franchisees receive comprehensive support throughout the entire process, from site selection and construction to ongoing training, marketing and operations assistance.
