In 2010, Jean Arellano graduated from pet grooming school and decided to start a pet grooming van in the Eastville, California area. She named it Vanity Fur and quickly started to make a name for herself among pet owners in her community.

In 2022, Vanity Fur welcomed its first franchisee in Chino Hills, followed by a second franchise owner in Menifee the following year. Today, the brand has three locations operating in California.
