Thanks to food-delivery apps, it is now easier than ever to get your favorite foods from the comfort of your couch. In the case that using the touch of your thumb was a bit too much work for you, Google, as always, has got you covered.

According to Fast Casual, Google and restaurant digital ordering platform, Olo, have joined forces to allow customers at more than 70,000 Olo-connected restaurant locations to order directly from Google Search, Maps and the Google Assistant. In fact, it’s just as easy as saying “Hey Google, order food from (specific restaurant),” or “Hey Google, order food again from (specific restaurant),” Fast Casual reports.

This dynamic-duo functionality allows for more accurate pricing, menu, and product availability, as well as automatically inserts inbound orders into restaurants’ existing POS systems.

QSR brands like Portillo’s Hot Dogs and Checkers* & Rally’s were among the first brands to implement Google and Olo services, enabling the restaurants to better serve their customers.

“The latest integration with Google enables the brand to conveniently serve guests that are already searching for a Checkers & Rally’s near them, and provide a frictionless ordering and pickup experience,” said Jason Carrigan, Checkers & Rally’s Vice President of Digital and Guest Experience, in a company press release.

Americans are beholden to the convenience of food-delivery apps and this writer, for one, is here for it.
