Greg Vojnovic Named Chief Development Officer for Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has announced it will be promoting Greg Vojnovic from the brand’s vice president of development to vice president and chief development officer. The promotion comes at a time when the Atlanta-based brand’s sales continue to increase as a result of an extremely focused development plan. “Each year, our restaurant sales continue to be higher and higher,” said Vojnovic. “Sales have been popping and we have a very strong development strategy that maximizes our highest volume locations.” Vojnovic will continue to execute the brand’s development strategy that includes having new locations open as quickly as possible with a focus on meeting set guidelines. “We approach development with strict vigor and discipline,” explained Vojnovic. “We have put together a plan that works and that everyone understands.” Under Vojnovic’s leadership, new locations have been opening faster than ever, with sales volume at new locations seeing an increase of 50 percent over four years. “We work with the franchisees to help them open as efficiently as possible,” continued Vojnovic. “The franchisees are excited to make more money and that, along with a strong brand that resonates with our guests and the excellent care we take of our guests, has led to increased sales. This leads us to even more development opportunities.” Despite the promotion, Vojnovic credits his entire team for the continued success of Popeyes. “It’s really not about me, it’s the team that has been achieving these results,” he said. “I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time.”
