The Jean Griswold Foundation was founded in 2010 and was named after Dr. Jean Griswold to help carry on her legacy and commitment to supporting care professionals. The Jean Griswold Foundation National Caregiver Scholarship Program is intended to offer support to family caregivers, professional caregivers and those interested in pursuing a career in the care industry. Recipients don’t have to work for Griswold, and the scholarships are aimed at enhancing training, certification and degree advancement within the field, thereby empowering caregivers to continually improve their skills and deliver better quality care.

"Through initiatives like our scholarship program, we can strengthen and prepare our workforce to meet the increasing need for in-home elderly care," said Maryanne Murray, the Chair of the Jean Griswold Foundation. "The tales of unwavering commitment and dedication from this year's awardees inspire us greatly, and we eagerly anticipate their continued contributions to their local communities."

With the need for in-home care rapidly growing and staffing shortages continuing to plague the home care industry, the Jean Griswold Foundation National Caregiver Scholarship Program is more important than ever. It serves to acknowledge and support the crucial role caregivers play in society, often going unrecognized. This program is part of Griswold’s ongoing commitment to caregiver support and development, helping to position Griswold as an employer of choice within the senior care industry.

“This program serves to recognize and lend a helping hand to caregivers — those individuals who are at the forefront of home care,” said Griswold CEO Michael Slupecki. “These everyday heroes often don't receive the acknowledgement they deserve for their invaluable services and the personal sacrifices they make daily. We're thrilled to give back and honor their dedication simultaneously.”
