Griswold, one of the country’s top home care franchises that provides professional and compassionate caregivers to seniors and those in need, is actively looking to expand its workforce amid a nationwide shortage of caregivers.

Recently featured on News Channel 5 in Nashville, Tennessee, local franchise owner and director Beth Walrich discussed the shortage issue. Walrich described the scarcity of caregivers as a “white tsunami,” attributing it to the decreasing number of individuals available to support the elderly population.

In an effort to attract potential caregivers, Walrich revealed that caregivers are allowed to select their own preferred cases and working hours, following which Griswold’s team will pair them with individuals in the community who require assistance.

Despite the ongoing shortage, Walrich emphasized that Griswold, having served the Nashville community for over 23 years, is committed to facilitating comfortable aging-in-place services for seniors who wish to remain independent in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible.

“It’s a challenge, but we will work through those challenges,” said Walrich. “We are very proud of our group, and we do everything we can to track the best, keep the best and then offer them the best opportunities.”
