Hand & Stone Opens in Huntersville, N.C.

The athletic franchisee wants to provide massage therapy benefits to community.

Franci Pirkle is not only an athlete but is now the new business owner of the Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Huntersville, North Carolina.
 
Pirkle said her longtime interest in health and wellness and her entrepreneurial spirit led to the new business, which is a nationally franchised company based in Hamilton, New Jersey.
 
"It’s the desire to, I guess, make a living or pursue a living in an area where you’re obviously also able to offer something, a valuable service in the health and wellness industry," she said. "So those two things coupled together were a match for my desire as far as what I can bring back to people and also make a living for myself."

Massages helped Pirkle while she was preparing for triathlons and local athletic events, a service she wants to provide the community.
 
“My ultimate goal is to have a positive impact on people’s lives in one way or another,” she said.
 
Pirkle also has the desire to partner with schools and local organizations for charitable events, as well as possibly offering scholarships and other opportunities for local people in the future.
