How Restaurants Can Protect Against Coronavirus

Carrie Luxem provides restaurant owners advice on how to prevent sickness and stop disease transmission.

I'm not a “virus expert” (or even close!) and I am not a doctor. But I have gotten a number of questions and inquiries from my clients, members, and social media followers regarding my thoughts, tips, and suggestions on the Coronavirus. In this video, I talk through some measures you can implement to prevent sickness and stop disease transmission before it starts.

I also provide some resources to consult for ongoing updates and information. It’s important to know the latest research and best practices regarding the disease so that you can keep your customers safe.

Now, I know there is a lot of COVID-19 information out there but I wanted to provide some general advice to restaurant owners and operators (in a simple and easy to understand format that you can also share with team members). It’s part of the responsibility of restaurant owners and managers to make sure they are doing everything that they can to prevent sickness and disease transmission.

In order to get my information, I did a bunch of research on the CDC's website and talked with a number of my clients to find out what they’re doing to minimize the risk of spreading this virus.

Of course, putting the safety of your team and customers should always be a top priority. With this new disease, by each of us doing our part in practicing good hygiene and following best practices, we can increase our chances of stopping disease transmission and being able to prevent sickness. Hopefully this video will help you.

Please stay healthy and safe.
