The industry is well known as a revolving door when it comes to staff, with turnover rate averaging at 73% for most establishments. This means that there's a significant staff retention and employee engagement problem.

From the conversations I’ve had with restaurant operators and owners over the years, they all have the common problem of not being able to retain staff. The burden of having to replace a large number of restaurant staff members is extremely tiresome and is bad for business, with the time, energy, and money poured into repeated recruiting, hiring and training.
