Just Salad Is The Latest Fast Casual To Launch a Virtual-Only Restaurant

In partnership with Grubhub, Health Tribes focuses on customers following specific diets.

Getting a healthy yet tasty meal delivered to your doorstep seems almost impossible these days, but diners who prefer those healthier options now have reason to rejoice.

According to Nation’s Restaurant News (NRN), Just Salad, a fast-casual chain which serves salads, wraps, smoothies, grain bowls and toast boxes, in partnership with Grubhub, launched a new virtual restaurant dubbed Health Tribes, which focuses on customers who follow a specific diet plan.

The Health Tribes menu is divided into vegan, keto, gluten free and paleo dishes, with most meals priced around $10.

“Just Salad has always been dedicated to making healthy food accessible to everyone, and the Health Tribes brand is a continuation of that mission,” Just Salad Vice President of Marketing  Stephen Swartz said in a statement to NRN. “As the dietary needs and preferences of our guests evolve, we’re taking this step with Grubhub to evolve right alongside them.”

Seth Priebatsch, Head of Enterprise Restaurants at Grubhub, commented: “We’re excited to work even more closely with such a beloved brand like Just Salad. Partnering on an exclusive basis is an incredible opportunity for both teams to truly optimize the process across orders.”

With 50 units, Just Salad’s virtual arm Health Tribes, is the largest virtual restaurant that Grubhub has partnered with, NRN notes.

Just Salad isn’t the only health-conscious fast casual restaurant to utilize mobile-ordering technology. Earlier this week, Salata announced it launched a new online-ordering experience, built by Chepri, that integrates a new tech suite and loyalty program. Additionally, within the online platform, Salata shoppers can implement an allergen filter and utilize a recipe help tool that provides meal suggestions, among other things.
