As president of HomeTeam Inspection Service, Adam Long has learned the importance of developing trust in his communications with franchisees. “It’s important that franchisees trust that the franchisor is acting not only in the best interest of the brand, but also in the best interest of the franchisees,” he said. “Franchisors need to be fair, consistent and transparent.”

Good communication is a key part of HomeTeam’s model, which uses a team-based approach to deliver better, faster inspections that allow real estate agents and their clients to complete transactions in a timely manner.

Now, after surviving the challenges of COVID-19, the brand has taken its communications to a whole other level. “That communication between us and our franchisees was key in not only overcoming that challenge but thriving during the 15 months that COVID lasted,” Long said.
