How CEO Gigi Schweikert Fell in Love with the Lightbridge Academy Brand

Gigi Schweikert has always had a passion for teaching, but she found a new mission in life when she discovered the childhood education franchise Lightbridge Academy®.

Lightbridge Academy®, early education and child care franchise with nearly 70 units, was recently featured on an episode of Franchise Marketing Radio, where CEO Gigi Schweikert spoke about her initial introduction to the brand and why she fell in love with Lightbridge Academy.

Schweikert is a published author and popular international keynote speaker for education conferences and various events. Speaking to Franchise Marketing Radio, Schweikert said she’s always wanted to work in teaching, and more specifically, in childhood education. Her passion for education is what led to her involvement with Lightbridge Academy.

“I chose Lightbridge Academy because of the wonderful core values,” Schweikert said. “I really believe in our core values of caring deeply, happiness, integrity and delivering that customer experience.”

Prior to joining the brand, Schweikert had never worked with a franchise network before. But over the years, she says she’s really developed an affinity for the franchising community.

“I love the franchising concept and the franchising community. The community is so helpful and proactive, and there’s so much synergy and sharing of ideas. It’s phenomenal,” she said. Another benefit of franchising, she adds is “the opportunity to be able to help people construct and build their own legacy.”
