Lion’s Choice to Open 2 Kansas City Restaurants
The franchise is expanding beyond the greater St. Louis area for the first time in its 51-year history
Lion’s Choice, a St. Louis-based quick-service restaurant known for its roast beef sandwiches and 25-cent mini ice cream cones, will be heading west down Interstate 70 before year’s end. QSR Magazine detailed the franchise’s plan to open 2 Kansas City locations in the latter half of 2018, which will be its first restaurants outside of Eastern Missouri. To introduce the brand to the new market, Lion’s Choice is operating its food truck, The Lean Roast Beef Machine, out of Kansas City this summer.
“We’re excited to take this step outside of our traditional St. Louis-area footprint. Our guests have been asking us to expand to Kansas City for quite some time. We look forward to welcoming old fans and new friends,” Lion’s Choice CEO Mike Kupstas said.
