More than 150 Mathnasium* centers across the United States will participate in the second annual National TriMathlon September 29 and 30. The TriMathlon is designed to motivate kids grades 3 through 6 to learn about math.

“Mathnasium’s National TriMathlon is an ideal opportunity for us to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of math students in these grade levels,” says David Ullendorff, President, Mathnasium, in a press release. “Each challenge tests a different facet of students’ analytical and computational abilities. We hope this event will generate nationwide excitement about math education.”

Three challenge await participants: The Counting Game, Magic Squares and the Mental Meath Workout. In addition to medals for first, second and third place at individual centers, the top three scorers at each grade level from all participating locations will split $10,000 in cash prizes.
