FAST CASUAL: MOOYAH Burgers, Fries, & Shakes is Named in Fast Casual Top 100 Movers and Shakers
The Texas-based ‘better burger’ brand has been nationally recognized for its innovation and commitment to franchise growth for the 10th consecutive year in a row.
After a strong 2020, MOOYAH Burgers, Fries, & Shakes continued the momentum in 2021, ending the year with an 18% increase in the restaurants’ year-over-year sales in 2021. The brand saw 51% of their restaurants exceeding the $1 million sales mark, almost doubling its prior record.
This accomplishment was recently recognized by Fast Casual, whose Top 100 Movers and Shakers list has been focused on the industry’s innovation for the past 18 years. MOOYAH was recognized this year for its innovation, leadership and technology contribution to the industry by being named No. 14 on a list of 75 national brands and 25 leaders.
“Mooyah has outperformed the industry and fast casual segment in sales, according to Black Box, and unlike many systems that shrunk during the last two years, we have continued to grow and open more units,” said Doug Willmarth, MOOYAH president. “Due to our strong pipeline of signings the last few years, we are on pace to have our biggest growth year ever in 2022, with over 20 new restaurants planned to open this year.”
