MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, the 90-unit “better burger” franchise continues to expand its operations across the country as a result of its commitment to serving the best-tasting cheeseburgers.

Doug Willmarth, President at MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, recently appeared on the Hospitality Hangout podcast where he discussed the brand’s growth, his background and how the franchise is making efforts to appeal to new owners and Guests alike.

Before joining the MOOYAH brand, Willmarth was a Navy pilot. After that, he transitioned into business leadership and marketing, eventually finding his love for the restaurant industry. Since then, he has worked with brands such as Frito-Lay, Chili’s and Pizza Hut. One of the reasons he loves working in the restaurant industry, he says, is because it brings people together over food and helps individuals become entrepreneurs.

During the podcast, Willmarth also highlighted MOOYAH’s new Franchise Owner incentive program, which aims to drive overall growth. Franchise Owners who sign agreements and leases in 2023 will receive three years of royalty relief. This program also matches the Franchise Owners’ initial marketing investment to help get new owners off the ground and running.

“So many of our Franchise Owners are stepping into ownership for the first time. They’re looking to transform their family tree and live the American Dream,” Willmarth said. “Part of what we’re doing with this franchise incentive is enabling people to do that. We’re partnering with them to make sure they get a successful start.”

Willmarth also discussed MOOYAH’s relaunched rewards app, which provides an improved ordering experience and can reward Guests with free food. Willmarth said the focus is on making the ordering process easier and faster through intuitive and visually appealing technology.
