Franchise Times: Ex-Chipotle Execs Have Big Plans for Oath Pizza
Drew Kellogg and Stacie Colburn Hayes share how their experience with the first fast-casual concept is helping to grow Oath Pizza.
In a recent article with Franchise Times, Drew Kellogg, Chief Executive Officer at Oath Pizza, and Stacie Colburn Hayes, Chief Marketing Officer at Oath Pizza, discussed how they plan to expand the Nantucket Island-founded brand. Kellogg and Hayes both joined Oath Pizza three years ago after working for the first fast-casual brand, Chipotle Mexican Grill. They discussed how their experience with the nationwide brand taught them what the future of foodservice would look like with high-quality food and people-culture, with an emphasis on customer experience and how that inspired them to go out and grow a brand themselves. That’s when both joined Oath Pizza, the 29-unit better-for-you pizza franchise, and after three years of focus on operational efficiencies and buildout of digital infrastructure, they’re ready to push franchise expansion for the brand.
“We’re at the point of looking at our business and saying, ‘We have something really special,’” said Hayes. “Oath is pizza meets wellness because no one else is even trying to claim that.”
Oath has reimagined pizza with their one-of-a-kind avocado oil crust, high-quality ingredients, signature twists on traditional pizza flavors and build-your-own options. The brand plans to award at least a dozen new franchise agreements by the end of 2022.
