Franchise Marketing Radio: Paris Baguette Chief Development Officer Discusses the Brand’s Growth Goals Beyond 2021

The global bakery café franchise’s Chief Development Officer Mark Mele discusses leadership experience building and guiding franchise brands.

During a recent podcast interview with Franchise Marketing Radio, Chief Development Officer Mark Mele shared his experience and how Paris Baguette, a global bakery café franchise with more than 4,000 locations, is closing in on its 2021 franchise sales goal of 100 units sold in the U.S.

When asked what advice Mele would give prospective Paris Baguette franchisees, his answer is simple — do your research and vet the brand just as Mele does with prospective franchisees.

“We want franchisees to do just that, to do their due diligence, speak to our franchisees,” said Mele. “Look at the perception of the brand — for example, what’s the perception of the brand globally and locally in the city. Look at other locations and ask about profitability. These are the questions that need to be asked”

The Paris Baguette brand first arrived in the U.S. in 2005 and has since established nearly 100 locations in markets across the country, making it one of the premier franchise opportunities in its category. Paris Baguette’s primary mission, executed every day by its expert staff of bakers, bakers, and baristas, is to share moments of joy with customers and help customers share moments of joy with their friends and family by providing world-class cakes, pastries, coffees, breads and other French-inspired bakery café fare.
