Paris Baguette, a leader in the bakery café space with more than 4,000 units globally and strong U.S. expansion plans, has seen remarkable growth in recent years, and its economic success is a substantial draw.

The brand is celebrating post-pandemic success with remarkable year-over-year growth and is planning to enter 10 new states this year alone.

“Our average unit volume is right around $2.2 million through 2021,” explained Nick Scaccio, vice president of operations. “Our comps year-to-date are over 30%, which is above industry standard at this point.”

According to Item 19 of the Paris Baguette Franchise Disclosure Document, average unit sales for 2021 were $2,244,757, with 49% of cafés exceeding that amount. Compared to the average unit volume of 2020, $1,599,355, this is a 40.35% increase.

“We have cafés that are producing upwards of $5 million, so that’s generating a lot of revenue,” said Mark Mele, chief development officer. “That’s why franchisees are coming back for units two, three, and four, and we're doing area development agreements with multi-unit franchisees in a lot of trade areas.”

Many Paris Baguette franchisees see such success because of the brand’s unique position within the market as well as the robust training provided. Many café concepts have begun to shift toward more of an eatery model, offering primarily soups, salads and sandwiches, while Paris Baguette has remained true to its name, baking its goods fresh daily.

Additionally, thorough training ensures everyone is prepared to create only the best baked goods by opening day.

“That’s something we take very seriously and really focus on. So, as we close in on opening, we train each back-of-house employee in a centralized kitchen,” Scaccio said. “Both caterers and bakers get this instruction, ensuring they have the best possible product knowledge to produce the highest quality product.”

This year, Paris Baguette is eyeing strong expansion across the nation, including Florida, Arizona, Texas, North Carolina and more.

The total investment to franchise with Paris Baguette ranges from $635,765 to $1,693,600, including a $50,000 franchise fee. For more information, please visit https://parisbaguette.com/franchising/.
