Paris Baguette has a global following with 4,000 stores worldwide. The bakery café franchise currently has about 90 stores in the U.S. It now plans to rapidly expand throughout the country, opening approximately 1,000 new stores by 2030.

A bakery café brand that still bakes its breads, cakes and pastries on-site, Paris Baguette has a reputation for quality that is recognized throughout the world. With small footprint stores and tightly focused menus, Paris Baguette franchises are designed to be easy to operate with a small staff.

The brand is seeking investors to join its growing franchise system. The cost to open includes a $50,000 franchise fee, but also encompasses everything a franchisee would need to open their doors and serve their first guests. That includes major capital costs like build-outs (between $150,000 and $1,000,000), kitchen equipment and point-of-sale systems as well as signs (up to $254,324), smallwares, and promotion for the grand opening. Together, your total opening costs will likely range from $378,270 and $1,638,554.

Paris Baguette also offers an area development agreement, which means a franchisee can open a minimum of four stores. That requires a $20,000 fee for each store the franchisee plans to develop.

“The advantage of becoming an early investor as we grow to cities like Columbus and Nashville is that with an area development agreement, you have the advantage of getting the best locations,” said Mark Mele, chief development officer at Paris Baguette. “That’s why we think the area development agreement is so important.”

The other advantage is that with this level of development costs, franchisees can ramp up quickly and hit profitability as soon as possible.

“With 4,000 global locations, this is a brand that people love,” said Mele. “Many have been waiting for a Paris Baguette to open in their city, so our franchisees hit the ground running.”
