Paris Baguette, the global bakery café franchise brand with more than 4,000 locations around the world, was ranked No. 38 in this year’s Franchise Times Top 400 list — the most comprehensive ranking of the 400 largest franchise systems in the United States. The distinguished ranking is based on Paris Baguette’s global system sales. Paris Baguette joins the most reputable brands in the nation on the list, including McDonald’s, KFC and more.

The brand’s high ranking verifies the exceptional growth the company has experienced in the past year. Paris Baguette landed No. 38 on the Top 400 list due to booming systemwide sales over the past year. The brand climbed an impressive 16 spots since 2020.

“We have remained true to our roots in baking and operating successful cafés around the globe, and that success is now fueling our growth in the U.S.” said Mark Mele, Chief Development Officer for the brand.

Franchise Times uses a combination of companies’ voluntary reports and their most recent franchise disclosure documents to rank the 400 largest franchise systems in the United States. To qualify for the ranking, companies must be a legal United States franchise, with its headquarters based in the United States, or have at least 10% of its total units located in the country. At least 15% of the company’s total units must be franchised.

Since first arriving in the U.S. in 2005, the French-inspired café brand already has nearly 100 locations with a majority on the East and West Coasts, distinguishing itself as a dominant player in the bakery café industry. And Paris Baguette is ready to expand to the rest of the country. Its goal is to sell 120 franchises by the end of the year and open 1,000 U.S. locations by the end of the decade.

“This ranking is a testament to the hard work and dedication our franchise development team has invested in the brand in the last year,” said Darren Tipton, CEO of Paris Baguette. “Even in the face of unprecedented challenges brought on by the pandemic, the franchise development team has found quality franchise partners in places where we are looking to grow and have continued to bring attention to our existing locations.”

When it comes to franchising, the brand offers a business opportunity with multiple competitive differentiators, including an easy-to-manage business model, a proven track record in countries around the world, a space-efficient store footprint and second-to-none franchisee support. That strong corporate support is what inspired Wen Li, a multi-unit franchisee, to keep expanding with the brand.

“I wanted to be a franchisee with this brand because I know the company will support me,” she said. “I only take care of the customer and the quality. With my first location, I worked non-stop seven days a week. I learned everything from baking to working in the front. Now, every day I go to my three stores and check the products and the operations. And I want to buy at least six or seven more locations in the future.”

The total investment to franchise with Paris Baguette ranges from $528,270 and $1,638,554, including a $50,000 franchise fee. For more information, please visit: https://parisbaguette.com/franchising/.
