Pensacola News Journal: Sylvan Learning Welcomes New Face

Gloria Swardenski comes full circle from past job with Sylvan Learning Center to new owner of Pensacola location

Gloria Swardenski’s business and teaching background has led her to become a Sylvan Learning* franchisee.

For more than 30 years, the Pensacola Sylvan Learning center has been a staple in the community and back in January, the center welcomed a new face.

“I feel like I’ve come full circle,” Center Director and Sylvan franchisee Gloria Swardenski said. “It’s kinda fun to think about how it all worked out.”

Directly out of college, Swardenski worked at a Sylvan Learning Center and witnessed how much students benefited from the tutoring and curriculum.

After building her own career, she decided to make a change and fulfill her personal dream of owning a business and soon found that the Sylvan Learning Center in Pensacola was available.

“It was one of those things where I truly believed it was meant to be,” Swardenski said. “It was almost too easy. I always expect problems, but the transition has been smooth.”

Enrollment in 2017 has gotten off to a great start, with 26 new students enrolled in January and 22 enrolled in February.
